🔑 登录(Login)¶
To login Gigariver, you first need an account. If you are not a user of GigaRiver yet, please check Sign Up Now to find out how to become a user of GigaRiver.
This page is written for MS Windows users particularly. If you are a Linux/Mac user, you quickly scan what is written here and then can login GigaRiver through SSH.
🛜 Connection¶
To keep it safe, we have separated GigaRiver from the campus network. As a result, in order to be able to login GigaRiver, you will first need to connect your device to one of the following networks:
- WLAN (wireless local area network,无线局域网)
If you decide to use this connection to GigaRiver, you need to connect your device to one of the following WLANs of GigaRiver:
DGMP-wifi-GigaRiver-1 (centered at room 408 of MCS)
…
If you have no access to the WLAN(s), please connect the administator of GigaRiver.
- Internet (因特网)
Not available. We plan to build an Intranet Penetration in the future when the demand of visiting GigaRiver from external networks is high.
🔗 SSH¶
The IP address of GigaRiver is
192.168.31.153 |
If you know how to use use SSH to connect to a server, you can now login your account use this IP address. Otherwise, we suggest you to use the SSH client software MobaXterm or any alternative of it. We now use MobaXterm as an example.
If MobaXterm is not installed in your device yet, visit https://mobaxterm.mobatek.net/.
In MobaXterm, you can start a new session, and then login GigaRiver with above IP address and your account.
It will open a window for you which is called a terminal. In fact, this terminal is the interactive interface of Linux.
Note that, for the first time, you will have to input your password in the terminal. And when you are typing, you will not see your password or * sign in the terminal. This is fine. You just need to type it and press enter. This is because the terminal is not able to hide your password with * signs. Thus, in order not to expose it, the terminal decides to show nothing there.
Once you log in successfully, you should be able to see
yourusername@gigariver:~$
on the newest line of the terminal. It means you are in GigaRiver now. You can call sinfo command to view
current status of GigaRiver, i.e.
yourusername@gigariver:~$ sinfo
You should see something like
PARTITION AVAIL TIMELIMIT NODES STATE NODELIST
P0* up infinite x idle n[x-x]
...
This confirms your login. You now can jump to 🧮 任务提交和结果下载 to find out how to submit a job to GigaRiver, and to download the results back to your device.
